UX/UI @ Porto Desconhecido – Educational App UX/UI Design

Developed as part of the Ergonomics of Multimedia Applications course during my Communication Sciences degree, Porto Desconhecido is a mobile app concept created for CLIA ANILUPA, an educational and cultural centre of Associação de Ludotecas do Porto, known for its work in animation and creative learning. The project aimed to design an engaging and accessible digital experience that supports CLIA ANILUPA’s mission of fostering creativity and education through animated activities. The app invites children and educators to explore the hidden stories of Porto through interactive challenges and educational content. We followed a complete UX/UI process, including: User Research: Investigated the needs of children, parents, and educators Personas & User Journeys: Built detailed profiles and mapped experiences Wireframing & Prototyping: Created low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes in Figma Usability Testing: Conducted user tests with interactive prototypes to gather feedback Agile Workflow: Applied agile methodologies to iterate and improve designs based on real user input The result is a playful and intuitive educational tool designed to blend learning with exploration, tailored for both classroom use and independent discovery.
